United Methodist Women is now United Women in Faith. The move is part of a refreshing of the organization that includes a new website, a new logo and an array of new and improved programs.
(Formerly United Methodist Women)
As it fosters spiritual growth and develops leaders, United Women in Faith seeks to improve the lives of women, children and youth in the United States and internationally. United Women in Faith advocates on peace and justice, economic inequality, education, the rights of children, human rights and farm workers’ rights. We support our work with a scriptural basis and adhere to the denominational mandates in The Book of Discipline and The Book of Resolutions.

Chino UWF in Action!
Our current project is preparing for our October fundraiser. We raise this separate money specifically to support Michelle Wilson (her mother is a member of CUMC and CUWF) and her missionary work. Although a different church sponsors her, we supplement her work so she can provide more learning opportunities for her students in Thailand and Myanmar.
The October fundraiser will be a mystery gift raffle. UWF members and anyone who wants to participate will provide a mystery gift. This gift can be a gift card or an actual gift. We do not want this to be a “white elephant” event, so only nice things, please…something you yourself would like to have. Each gift will be individually wrapped (do your own or ask for assistance). You will also include a “clue” on a gift tag so the person purchasing a raffle ticket can better discern what it might be. Raffle tickets will be sold throughout October, and the raffle will place on the last Sunday in October, 10/25/26.
Upcoming Events for CUWF
We meet for monthly meetings on the first Sunday of the month. All are welcome to attend!
What do we do? We focus on mission. That mission includes fundraising for a member’s daughter who is a missionary in Myanmar. Our donations go to help her help residents to learn English and live in a difficult world.
Several of us are participating in a reading program. Check with Evelyn Jones or any of the participating CUWF members to see what we’re currently reading. Visit the UWF website (reading program) for a complete suggested book list.
We also help with all kinds of things at the church, ranging from cleaning things, hosting receptions at memorial services, and in any way the church needs.
Everyone is welcome to any of our events! Join us!
